Many Glasgow instructors, myself included, see waitlists of around 1–2 months during busier periods, largely driven by high demand at local test centres like Anniesland, Shieldhall, and Baillieston. However, unlike test centre waiting times, lesson availability isn't fixed or predictable in the same way.
Why Lesson Availability Changes Week to Week
Driving lesson schedules are more fluid than test bookings. An instructor can be fully booked one week and have open slots the next, simply because:
Students sometimes pause or stop lessons for unpredictable personal reasons
Existing students pass their test and free up their regular slot
Schedule changes or cancellations open up short-notice availability
